6 Essential Sewing Tools You Might Be Missing
you don't understand how much you just saved my life. This tutorial is amazing! Thank you!!!
You can totally prevent your fabric from being "sucked down into that hole" by simply using a throat plate made for just the single needle (most manufacturers make one). And using a foot that is also made to accommodate a needle width only. No need to mess with tape. 😊
Very well explained thank you.
Got to try this. Your directions seem clear enough Even For Me To follow.... I am guessing we can actually Choose most of the Measurements to be the Size we would like to try and make our bag...
Good
Doesn’t this method increase the armhole size?
You did a Fantastic job with this Video --- Thanks very much !
I'm so confused 😢
what do you think of waxing a cotton slipcovered sofa
good one!
Thank you so much for this video. My granddaughter wanted me to make her a skirt, and I'm a quilter, not a garment sewer! I was dreading putting the zipper in, but with the gadget and your instruction, I got it right the first time. I am so relieved. A million thanks! ❤❤❤
A perfect tutorialever so far on how to put a zipper pocket.Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing video, I am not a beginner but I wouldn't call myself intermediate either, I am somewhere in-between with my sewing journey. I am planning to make a garment that cuts on the bias. Decided to do some research for tips and tricks and ways to cut and sew on the bias and that is how I came across this video. Thank you for this - I feel more comfortable with starting my new project - my fabric is a slippery one even though it is cotton - so wish me luck 🙂
Thank you. Do you have a tutorial for making a round tablecloth with a 3-inch border of a second fabric to sew to the main fabric?
Thank you. You solved my problem. I was able to finish my project.
thank you, I lost the instructions a long time ago and found the pattern recently and really wanted to make it since it looks so breezy, and it is so hot out. Also, it doesn't call for a lot of time and fabric!
Thank you! This instruction is excellent!
Thank you so much for this video. I am a visual learner and this helped me so much
Thank you for this video. You’re the first video I’ve found that used actual fabric instead of small paper pattern. I’m new to sewing and the small example paper pattern confuses me. I needed to see how the actual fabric was sewn in. Thank you so much ❤
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA MY NEW POCKETS ARE LARGE ENOUGH FOR MY OVERSIZED WALLET
Use wrapping paper if you don’t have pattern paper
I am going to try this using 100% cotton aluminized utility fabric. I got when JoAnn’s moved in our town. They sold everything before closing the old location I got this bolt I wonder if I should use two layers? The foam under my old one has always been a problem.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial! It really helped me to understand the steps involved in matching prints. Your teaching style is very clear and easy to follow.
slow speed in a must for sewing leather
I want to so lace onto denim shorts
Theis was so Wpwell explained, my only confusion is from the measurements (5/8 of an inch sounds insane to a European, lol)
I solved my issue by not using a cheaper sewing thread. I had bought very cheap Birch thread. Changed to Gutterman. Amazing difference to the stitches not doing weird loop every so often and wonky stitches on the back of sewing.
I did two pair today just like this. I love them. I wish we could post a photo. I googled what size needle. It said no 16. Wow, was that a wonderful needle for denim. I was pleasantly surprised! I cut 9”off because the girl wanted below knees so that meant 4.5” but it worked. I also added the white seam above using no 5 for length!
how about when my straight stitches is normal but when i do zigzag stitches it skipped
I’m so confused because I’m using a print fabric so when I print the pattern how should I place the printed pattern print side up on the printer fabric or put the print down pattern down on the back side of the print fabric. I’m so confused. Can you do another video tutorial explaining this using your printed pattern so I can see how to place each pattern on the printed fabric. I’m so confused. Thanks
Fantastic tutorial! So clear and well illustrated. Thank you.
Thank you so much done my welt pocket
Always love to look back at your videos to refresh my sewing and pattern knowledge. These longer videos really helped me out when I was first starting to sew years ago cause they are truly so clear and informative. :) Whenever I get stuck on something, I know you've got my back. Thank you!!
Great project! What kind of thread, needle size and tension should I use? my canvas is super thin
Okay thanks for this. Realy appreciate it. So what i get is that this mat should not be moved? Meaning if i am using my table for both work and sewing So each time i move the mat up have to recalibrate?
its not so much if the cutting mat moves after it is calibrated. It is if you bump or adjust the projector or stand. If you have it calibrated, you can move the mat all you want because the pattern projection is static and scaled correctly. As long as the table height and the projector does not change you can use the table for other things without re-calibration. But still best to check the calibration real quick when starting a new project just to be sure.
I rather keep it as one piece, never want two pieces sewed together, it is horrible, NO, NO, NO !
Hey, thanks for the video!
I recently made a stitch book for my new machine. Its fun to explore what can be done beyond straight and ziz-zag stitches. This was a great practical application, thanks! 🌻🍄
What a great tip. Thanks for sharing Tova.
So helpful! Thank you!!
Great little tutorial. I’m adding you to my favorites playlist 😊
Thank God.. searched all afternoon to find a video that shows how to report dart from a cloth. Thank you ❤
Oh finally someone that's left handed like me!!
I am very new to sewing and I do very basic stuff but need to change my work t-shirt to V neck because like many "I hate it with passion". Do I need a speciat thread? do I also need the speciat foot is shown in your machine? Thank you
Nice❤
Thank you for your video a great help
Wow! Thank you so very much for this tip. I am not a fan of crew neck t-shirts, but in the past year I bought one to encourage an amazing band called "Double Experience". With the help of your very clear and precise instructions I just altered my t-shirt in under 10 minutes! Guess what I'll be wearing today? Ha, ha. I will be sharing your video with my family and friends. Thanks again.
Is there A reason to use raglan rather than set in sleeves? Yes I am VERY new to this. In my case fleece or flannel. I've noticed the fleece clothing I wear more often tend to have have set in sleeves ............. I guess that observation should be enough of an answer but I am wondering if there is something obvious I am missing?
